Don’t Fret
There Are Two
Seasons in Chicago

In 2014, much of the West Loop was still an industrial warehouse area with just the beginnings of development that has made it the neighborhood we recognize today. Utilizing the vacant space available, Johalla Projects collaborated with artist Don’t Fret to create a pop-up exhibition of new works in the unused Chicago Wholesale Hardware store. Covering the building’s facade and interior space, Don’t Fret’s iconic figures, text, and urban street scenes spanned from floor to ceiling. The exhibition was an immersive interaction with both the artwork and the history weathered into the building’s interior. In conjunction with the exhibition, Johalla Projects produced a short film profiling Don’t Fret’s street art practice and life.
